Udyami - उद्यमी

The Go-Getter

The Tiger

Udyami’s are represented by the tiger because like a tiger, Udyamis are very clever, fierce and enterprising.

Clever

Tigers have a relatively large brain size compared to their body size, and are very clever animals. Their intelligence fuels their highly observant skills, namely their keen sense of hearing, sight, and smell that they rely on to detect prey.

Fierce

Tigers are considered to be one of the toughest, and most powerful animals in the world. They have expert hunting techniques such as stalking and ambushing, that make them not only survive, but also thrive.

Enterprising

Tigers have a special ability to adapt to changing environments and situations, creating innovative, and ingenious new ways to catch their prey.

Udyami in Different States of Mind

The nature of the human mind is that it fluctuates between three gunas: sattva, rajas, and tamas. Detailed below is what the Udyami's mind might look like in each of the three states.

Sattva

Peaceful. Clear.

They go after what they want in a confident manner, but with a peaceful mind in which they are empathetic to other’s needs. They are patient, persistent and enthusiastic. They do not make a show of their ambitions. They are silent achievers.

Rajas

Passionate. Active.

They are energetic, passionate, and restless. They are ambitious to be successful. Their confidence often propels them to achieve, even if they have to trample over a few people along the way. Their desire for achievement at all costs is often motivated by the pursuit of material wealth, power, and status. Their passion and fiery nature drives them to be attracted to any kind of intense endeavor. They get a rush out of physically aggressive activities and sports.
